Jenny Wicks writes about her series 'Root Ginger' "playing on my interest in sub-groups and sects, the photographs show that the 'every day' and ordinary can quickly become fascinating or exceptional when they are looked at in isolation.  Red hair conjures up a plethora of images and provokes a range of reactions from people. The work looks at the social aspect of having red hair and how society views and treats a minority group."

With his two most recent projects 'Italian Journey' and 'Where Miracles Happen', Eric Klemm presents his very personal signature style to the international gallery world. He writes "Many of my photographs relate to Goethe’s text, while some do not. Putting myself in the poet’s state of mind, I found other motifs he would have loved, but either didn't have the time to see or failed to mention.  My work on Italian Journey is a very personal portfolio. It has not at all been my intention to produce a comprehensive account of Goethe’s book."

Karolina Karlic writes that the "book project, “Elementarz” - Polish for “The Primer,” weaves together six strands. First among these are the ambitions, frustrations and hopes of my industrial engineer father, who emigrated to Detroit from Poland. Second comes the decline of the historical US manufacturing base of the automotive industry, a turn which sends my father back to Poland to search for new manufacturing sites to build cars for the growing Eastern European market."

Daniel W Coburn's 'Next of Kin' "records the interaction of a working class family living in Middle America.  A complicated relationship with family, and an immersive experience with an evangelical Christian church resulted in my loss of spiritual and domestic faith.  My work relates specifically to these personal struggles and explores the quiet suffering that occurs within the perimeter of a family unit living under the auspices of the American Dream."

Emma Livingston writes about her 'Tree portrait' series "I treat each tree as an individual, centering them in the composition as I would a person. The tree is the protagonist. I am intrigued by how each one has a personality of its own. An expression conveyed through its size, build, ‘posture’; the ‘attitude’ expressed through the display of its branches."

Nathan Cyprys writes about his project 'Neighbour State', "a series of American landscapes, strives to reveal the idiosynchracies of American life through destinations between cities. These are often the places one finds rest at, or passes through during an extended drive, often taking little notice of what lies hidden through a maze of rural roads just beyond the interstate. These are farms, tourist attractions, condemned homes and affordable motels. Yet, these are ultimately captured from a Canadian perspective, as I become a tourist upon crossing the border."

Manya Fox writes the  photographs in the 'Washington, Wyoming, Nebraska' series "were taken with a large format field camera while exploring the Western and Midwestern states of America in 2009.  Exploring the areas outside of major cities, attention is paid to tourism, recreation, and nature. Documenting these ageing and dated places with only available light, they come to represent an antidote to a globalized culture. "
